The best thing we can do for our team is give them weekends off, permanently! It is common practice in the auto repair industry to be open on the weekends and we have found that to be disruptive of family life. That’s why we made the decision years ago to shut down on weekends, because that time with your family is invaluable.
Teamwork makes the dreamwork! Yes, that phrase is a little cliché’ at this point, but it is absolutely true. No one wants to work in a toxic environment or feel like management isn’t listening to their concerns. That’s why the primary qualification for working with us is a good attitude! This philosophy has created a sense of family within our organization, and as a shop we have regular company events such as going to TopGolf, Busch Gardens, Axe Throwing, and who knows what the next event will be! A common mistake we see shops making is a total lack of training or support for their employees. Many technicians are handed a job they’re unfamiliar with and simply stumble their way through it, without guidance. We feel this is a terrible way to teach and grow technicians because cars are far too complicated for that. It is no longer possible to “tinker” your way into becoming a competent auto technician. Because of this, we operate our shop as if it is also a training facility. We utilize numerous forms of training including those from Napa, the Automotive Training Institute, and more plus internal training we’ve created. Ultimately, we want to help our employees achieve their highest potential.
